Battle Proms Picnic Concert at Highclere Castle, Highclere, Newbury – Saturday 3rd August 2013
A celebration of classical music with fireworks, spitfire, cannons and cavalry. The concert takes place in front of the Castle which is illuminated by dramatic lighting and forms the backdrop to this stunning event. Bring a picnic and enjoy an unforgettable evening of sublime music and breathtaking displays overlooking the beautiful setting of Highclere Castle.
Doors open at 4.30pm.

Ticket prices are £34.00 if booked from 1 May 2013 until the day before the concert and Children aged 5 to 15 £16.00 (children aged 4 and under are free, and do not require a ticket).

Family Fun Day – Craft, Bake and Race Day at Newbury Racecourse – Sunday 4th August 

A fantastic day out for all the family to experience exhilarating flat racing along with a massive range of extra children’s entertainment on offer. A fun-filled Sunday at The Racecourse Newbury with entertainment for all ages featuring cake baking, crafts workshops, pony rides, pony races, Kids’ Zone and much more. Bring along your crafts and baked creations to win some fabulous prizes.
Grandstand tickets are priced at £16 and Premier Enclosure tickets cost £24. Under 18’s go free.

An Evening with Nyetimber at The Vineyard – Sunday 11th August

Stockfest 2013 at Stockcross – from 10th – 25th August 

A unique event that will be taking place in the village of Stockcross. Inspired by their vibrant village community, Stockfest 2013 is a celebration of local talent, arts, music, culture and sport. The festival has grown from and celebrates the numerous successful village events which have taken place over many years including, Jazz on the Glebe, Street Fairs, an annual sell-out Pantomime and the very popular Open Gardens days.

International Orchid Summer Fair at Roots, Priors Court Road, Hermitage Sat 24th and Sun 25th August 2013
The International Thames Valley Orchid Society will bring Hermitage into bloom when its Summer Fair arrives at Roots Garden Centre. At the Summer Fair you can expect to see thousands of stunning orchids in flower and a huge variety of orchids will be for sale from top British nurseries. Also, local people are invited to bring their plants that are unwell or need care to receive advice and help.
