Meet Becky Povey, Wedding and Events Planner. With nearly a decade of experience, Becky has helped around 300 couples plan their special day.
What makes Donnington Valley Hotel special?
We have a really fantastic team here. From the moment couples arrive to the moment they leave, we do everything we can to make sure their wedding is unforgettable.
What does your job involve?
Everything from helping couples with their initial queries right through to the big day itself. It’s very varied because everyone’s wedding is so unique.
What do you love most about your job?
I love building relationships with the couples I work with and sharing ideas and inspiration for their big day. The best part for me is seeing their vision come to life on the day itself – it’s one of the most exciting times of their lives, so it’s always lovely to be part of that.
What’s your advice to couples who are planning their weddings?
Every wedding is different, so don’t feel pressured to stick to tradition if you have something else in mind. It’s all about prioritising what makes you happy and creating your traditions!
Do you think it’s helpful for couple’s to come to a wedding fayre?
Absolutely! It gives them a great opportunity to take a look at our venue, with some mock wedding set-ups to give them an idea of how things might look. We also have all our trusted wedding suppliers under one roof, so couples can meet them and get lots of ideas for their big day!
